CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Bikram

Bikram is our beginner Hot Yoga Class, inspired by Bikram. Our teachers will lead you through 26 postures and two breathing exercises for a blissful 90 minutes that helps rejuvenate your entire being. The temperature is set to a sweaty 102 – 105 degrees to help promote detoxification, and lengthening of your muscles leaving you feeling relaxed, cleansed, and a focused mind. It’s totally designed for beginner’s so anyone and their uncle can participate!

The consistent sequence of the 26 poses practiced focus on the spine, but optimally works all the muscles, ligaments and tendons in the body. Most students find their first hot class very challenging. However after a few classes, the body becomes accustomed to the heat and practice becomes enjoyably addictive. No previous experience necessary.

Bikram Express

Bikram Express is our beginner Hot Yoga Class, inspired by Bikram. Our teachers will lead you through 26 postures and two breathing exercises for a blissful 60 minutes that helps rejuvenate your entire being. The temperature is set to a sweaty 102 – 105 degrees to help promote detoxification, and lengthening of your muscles leaving you feeling relaxed, cleansed, and a focused mind. It’s totally designed for beginner’s so anyone and their uncle can participate!

The Express class sequence consists of 1 breathing, 2 of each standing, most floor postures without savannas and sit-ups and finishes with a final breathing posture. Our students say they burn just as many calories as a 90 minute class.

You can practice with little pressure to keep up or stay in poses. If you arrive late or need to leave early, that’s ok, too. Work at your own pace and watch others if you need help.

Bikram Audio

The Bikram Audio class sequence consists of 1 breathing, 2 of each standing, most floor postures without savannas and sit-ups and finishes with a final breathing posture. Our students say they burn just as many calories as a 90 minute class.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, tendons, fascia, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice. This class is suitable for all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
Yin and yang tissues respond quite differently to being exercised. You need to experience this to really know what Yin Yoga is all about. After you have experienced it, even just once, you will realize that you have been doing only half of the asana practice.

Boot Camp

Boot Camp provides a personalized approach to group fitness training. We welcome all fitness levels and encourage you to work at a level that maximizes your potential. Functional training bootcamp is geared to help people with everyday life activities. It includes a variety of exercises that work on flexibility, core, balance, strength and power. Our class is run in a circuit style setting that is different every day. Boredom is not an option here. We take the “routine” out of your workout routine by never letting you do the same workout twice. Better yet, you’re in and out in 45 minutes.

Classes include a wide range of exercises with a combination of the following: AGILITY ( Balance and Coordination ); Batting ropes; Bosu; Calisthenics; Cardio training; Core Strengthening; Jungle Gym; Kettle bells; Medicine balls; Partner drills; Resistance training; Rip60; Stability balls; Sport Drills; Tires, Platforms; TRX.

Cardio Dance Boot Camp

A fun upbeat cardio exercise class that combines different styles of dance and fitness. The dance styles include ballroom, latin, hip hop, and anything in between to keep the heart rate up and the body in motion while toning and tightening different body areas. No experience is necessary to attend. Everyone moves at their own pace and allows their bodies to adjust to the different styles.
