Ustrasana Camel pose is a great way to start to deepen your backbends. It is one of the deepest backbends of the Bikram series. Try to remember to lift the breast bone up and push the hips towards the knees and move the elbows towards each other. Lighten the tongue in your mouth and relax all the tension in the body. Lift the breastbone up towards the ceiling slowly. Also, as you move into the posture, make sure your hip bones are moving towards your knees and externally rotate your shoulders. Camel pose is a perfect posture to help strengthen the back, glutes and core. Practice this pose often to notice how your backbends may start to deepen and expand. Thanks for watching!
